Fire Ban lifted

Lanark Highlands Fire Service is lifting its Township-wide fire ban as of 10:00 am on Monday, August 19th, 2019.

Be advised that for open air fires, burning can only take place within the time period of 2 hours before sundown and 2 hours after sunrise. This is Ontario Law during the burn season, which runs from April 1st to October 31st.

With all fires, please do not leave any fire unattended, ensure there are no combustible materials within 10 feet of the fire, and you must have a sufficient means to safely put the fire out.

If you have any questions regarding burning rules and regulations, refer to the reverse side of your fire permit or contact the municipal office at 613-259-2398 x 242.

All burning in the Township of Lanark Highlands requires a fire permit.
