Where and When:
The Lake Picnics are held on second Saturday in August at Purdon Beach. All those who are associated with the lake are welcome to attend. Children are especially welcome to come and try out the play structure at the beach. The time is 11:30 to 1:00.
It is free!
Why:
It is a chance to meet old friends and make new friends. It gives us the opportunity to catch up on all the lake news. Compare your bird lists.
What’s to Eat?
Bring your own picnic lunch. Hot dogs, cookies, and cold water will be available, provided by the Lake Association.
Rain Date:
Rain or shine, it goes ahead.
Directions:
By Land: From Watson’s Corners Road (county road 8), go north on Dalhousie Concession 8B until you see the sign for Purdon’s Cottages on the right.
By Water: Purdon Cottages are at the westernmost end of the lake. You are encouraged to travel by canoe or kayak.
If travelling by motor boat, please try to ‘boat pool’ with your neighbour(s) in order to ensure that there is enough dock space available. New for 2013 – BOAT PARADE
